DT Digitization Certification 301: Characterization and Evaluation

DTDC 301 covers the workflows and processes associated with the development and maintenance of a high quality heritage imaging program. From creation of ICC profiles with Capture One and BasICColor, to general image quality analysis using Golden Thread, this course covers a variety of high level processes necessary for FADGI and ISO compliance. 

We will learn how to use industry standard tools and software to maximize the performance of your existing imaging systems, and report this quality in a meaningful way. This course will rely heavily on Capture One, BasICColor and Golden Thread NXT software, along with the DT-NGT2 and FADGI 19264 color targets. 

This course spans 2 segments totalling almost 2 hours of content. Prior to viewing, we recommend our 201 Operator Training course, as well as practical experience working in a digitization setting.  

A certification test will follow the completion of the videos, we encourage you to prepare accordingly.

A certification test is provided after the completion of your videos. This test is intentionally challenging and has a historical pass rate of approximately 70%. Please prepare thoroughly prior to starting the test.

Successful completion of our Digitization 101  and Digitization 201 classes prior to taking Digitization 301 is strongly recommended, even for those with prior experience in digitization. Our Digitization 301 Part 2, “Understanding Guidelines & Standards” will be available soon.
